Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that India enjoys well-earned respect in the world arena and plays an important constructive role in international affairs. In a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of Independence Day, Putin hailed India and said that the country has achieved universally acknowledged success in economic, scientific and technical, social, and other fields.


"Your country has achieved universally acknowledged success in economic, scientific and technical, social and other fields. India enjoys well-earned respect in the world arena and plays important constructive role in the international affairs," the message read.






In the message, Putin exuded confidence on the India and Russia partnership and said that the joint efforts by both countries will further enhance fruitful bilateral cooperation in all areas and constructive partnership in solving topical issues of regional and global agenda.

"We attach great importance to the relations of the special and privileged strategic partnership with New Delhi. India on August 15 celebrated its 77th Independence Day. In his speech on the occasion PM Modi promised to make India the third largest economy in the next five years and laid a path for the ambitious 2047 dream.
