New Delhi: On the second and the last day of BIMSTEC in Nepal, the leaders of member countries will meet each other. After the convention will get over in the afternoon, PM Modi will inaugurate the Nepal Bharat Maitri Dharmashala at the Pashupatinath temple complex along with Nepalese PM Oli.


The shelter house built in two years time has the capacity to house 400 people and is being hailed as a symbol of India and Nepal’s friendly relations.

India has provided a financial aid of Rs 25 crore for the construction of the dharmshala, after Prime Minister Modi announced it in the year 2014.

The secretary of the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust said the PM will do the inauguration in the evening of 31st. He will also be visiting the Pashupatinath Temple. Nepal’s PM Oli will also be present during the ceremony.

Prime Minister Modi will also address a public rally today.

The shelter home also has a room for Modi and Oli. Room no. 104 has been kept for Modi with all facilities for his lodging and food.

5:45- Leave for Delhi

The BIMSTEC is an international organisation consisting of seven nations of South Asia and South East Asia, namely Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan, and Nepal. The main objective of the BIMSTEC is technical and economic cooperation among South Asian and Southeast Asian countries around the Bay of Bengal.
