The deadly Coronavirus which reportedly first brokeout in November 2019 in the Wuhan city of China, has continued to haunt the World even today infecting millions of people across the globe on daily basis.

While all the governments and international agencies are braving the pandemic and framing policies to curb the spread of the novel disease, there are researches underway to trace the origins of Covid-19.

Two leading US disease experts have said that the information to support the theory that the SARS-CoV-2 virus may have escaped from a lab in Wuhan has increase and the Chinese government is warned of cooperating throughout the search in order to trace the origins of the deadly virus and prevent future pandemic threats.

As reported by Bloomberg, Scott Gottlieb, a commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration in the Trump administration who now sits on the board of Pfizer Inc, told the CBS News that the Chinese government has failed to provide any evidence to disprove the theory that SARS-CoV-2 virus originated in Wuhan. the search for signs that the virus emerged from wildlife hasn’t yielded results, Gottlieb added.

Scientists and experts have hypothesized that the pathogen, which was first detected spreading in a seafood market in Wuhan, might have spread from wild animals to human. However, the Bigen administration in the US want to crosscheck with the long promoted theories which suggest that the virus may have accidentally escaped from a research lab.

Speaking on the same, Peter Hotez, co-director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Center for Vaccine Development in a separate TV appearance on NBC’s "Meet the press" reportedly said, "Not knowing how the pandemic started puts the world at risk of future outbreaks. There’s going to be Covid-26 and Covid-32 unless we fully understand the origins of Covid-19.

The remarks from the two experts have come after the US President Joe Biden in a surprising statement on Wednesday ordered agencies to "redouble their efforts" in investigation into the virus’s emergence. He said that U.S. intelligence agencies had conflicting assessments of whether it was more likely the virus crossed the species barrier from a natural reservoir or leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Meanwhile, China has junked away all Wuhan lab theories. Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian on Thursday dismissed Biden’s inquiry as an attempt to engage in “stigmatization, political manipulation and blame-shifting.”
