UM Lohia Two-wheelers has launched the carburetted variants of its popular models- the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sports S. The bikes also come with new colours - matte black for the former and gloss black for the latter. These two motorcycles compete with the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and the Bajaj Dominar 400 in its segment. Apart from the colour changes, the bodywork remains the same in both the motorcycles.

The Renegade Sports S and the Renegade Commando share the same 279.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. Power and torque figures are similar for both the bikes. However, for the carb variant, the engine makes 23.7PS whereas the fuel injected version produces 25.15PS of power. At 23Nm, the torque output is the same in carburetted and fuel injected versions of both the bikes. Suspension duties for the Commando and the Sports S are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Brakes include 280mm front disc and 130mm rear drum. Unfortunately there is no ABS yet, even as an option.

Additionally, UM has also announced festive offers this season. Customers who purchase a UM motorcycle will stand a chance to save up to Rs 10,000. The company also offers customers cashback on Paytm of up to Rs 7,500 and up to Rs 4,000 on Droom, the online 2/4-wheeler trading platform.

The Sports S is also available in Young Red, Black Silver and Young Orange whereas the Commando is available in Matt Moss Green, Burgundy Shine and Black Shine. The Sports S commands a price tag of Rs 1.79 lakh, whereas the Commando costs Rs 1.85 lakh, (both prices, ex-showroom, Pune).
