The brand has seen an impressive 5,000 customers in less than five years
Ever since its debut in our market four and a half years ago, Triumph Motorcycles has seen considerable success for a premium bikemaker. The Tiger series is the trailblazer of the company's portfolio here, but its Modern Classics and Sports range are also doing pretty well in the country. According to the company, there are a total of 5000 Triumph customers in India. Don't believe us? Well, the British marquee just rolled its 901st Tiger motorcycle in India!
This popularity can be contributed towards the general public's changed outlook towards motorcycles being more than a tool of the commute. A good example of this can be seen with the company's adventure sports series, which has clicked with the rising number of off-road enthusiasts. And the customer rides Triumph regularly organises has helped the company attract customers as well. Here's what the company had to say on the occasion.

Triumph Tiger – Leading the Spirit of Adventure in India
Triumph Delivers the 901st Tiger Motorcycle in India
Triumph Motorcycles – the iconic British premium motorcycle brand – has kickstarted its celebrations for achieving a milestone of 5000 riding-obsessed Triumph customers in India, in a short span of 4.5 years. This coincides with yet another milestone – that of having 900 adventure-ready Triumph Tiger customers in the premium adventure riding segment.
Triumph’s momentous journey in India started in November 2013 when Triumph launched one of the most varied portfolios in luxury motorcycling in India, and with the Tiger range of bikes, introduced the adventure-riding category in India. Triumph in India has invested in building the adventure-riding category through specialized adventure riding training sessions known as Tiger Training Academy, and innovations like Tiger Trails – a unique ride and training combo aimed at the Triumph Tiger owners keen to transition from riders to adventurers.
From the time of launch, Tiger Training Academy has trained over 450 Tiger owners, and the much-sought-after Tiger Trails has covered varied geographies like Kaza & Spiti in the high Himalayas to Malape in coastal South, and Thar Desert in the vast Northern Plains. Triumph has also been instrumental in spreading awareness about adventure-riding and road-safety through epic rides like the just concluded #IndiaOnATiger ride from Jammu to Kanyakumari – a ride that covered over 4500 kilometers traversing the length of India, from Jammu to Kanyakumari.
In India, Triumph boasts of an adventure riding range with category-defining rider-focused technology. It includes the brand new Tiger 800 XC and XR line-up – one of its best-loved and most critically acclaimed motorcycles ever, and the all-new Tiger 1200 XCx – built to take you everywhere, first class. The all-new Tiger range is the latest addition to a legendary bloodline that began 80 years ago and has been purpose-built to handle the ultimate in on-road adventures and off-road challenges, with every single new technological innovation, engine enhancement, premium specification, and style update designed specifically to help deliver a perfect ride. The longest running adventure story, with a bloodline that began with the gold-medal winning Tigers of the 1936 International Six Day Trial, continues with a new generation that incorporates all the trademark Tiger spirit and takes capability to a whole new level.
