New Delhi: Ahead of march to demand creation of Ahir Regiment in the Indian Army, the Gurugram Police issued notification regarding traffic restrictions and diversions on the National Highway 48 from Kherki Dhaulla toll (Givo Cut) to Hero Honda Chowk. 


“Traffic on NH-48 maybe disrupted on March 23, 2022 Wednesday, due to proposed march from Kherki Dhaulla toll (Givo Cut) to Hero Honda chowk on NH-48 in support of demand for creation of ‘Ahir Regiment’ in the Indian Army,” read a tweet by the Gurugram Police. 


 






“This Highway section will be closed for traffic,” it said further. 


Following traffic restrictions/diversions have been laid out by the Gurugram Police in order to minimise inconvenience for the commuters.



  1. The said stretch of the expressway will be open only for light vehicles. Buses are not allowed. 



  1. Traffic from Jaipur will be directed to SPR just before Kherki Dhaulla toll (Givo Cut) and they can reach their destination via Sohna road. 

  2. Traffic from Delhi is advised to take alternate routes via Golf Course road and Sohna road.


All traffic would be diverted at Hero Honda chowk towards Subhash chowk/Pataudi road. 



  1. The road section will be closed for the full day for all heavy/good vehicles. 



  1. From Jaipur - All heavy/goods vehicles are advised to take KMP from Panchagaon to go to Delhi as well as Faridabad. 

  2. From Delhi - All heavy/goods vehicles are advised to take Sohna road and KMP. 


Demand to constitute an Ahir Regiment in the Indian Army is being made under the banner of United Ahir Regiment Morcha from last one month in the southern part of Haryana. The protests have also received support from Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh and Congress MLA Bhoopinder Singh Hooda.
