TDP Chief Urges Centre To Take Action Against 'Corrupt Activities' Of Andhra Pradeh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

N. Chandrababu Naidu mentioned that even Union Home Minister Amit Shah had referred to CM Jagan Reddy as the most corrupt leader in the country.

Telugu Desam Party national president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday demanded that the Central Government should initiate action against the 'corrupt practices' of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Addressing a public meeting at Kuppam in the Chittoor district, Naidu alleged that the YSRCP government is neck-deep in corruption. He mentioned that even Union Home Minister Amit Shah had referred to CM Jagan Reddy as the most corrupt leader in the country.

Naidu referred to the statements made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during a public meeting in Visakhapatnam on June 11. Shah alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government has been involved in corruption and has not achieved anything significant during its four years in power.

“Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself condemned Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s corrupt activities,” Naidu said.

The TDP supremo said that the Union ministers who were speaking against Jagan Mohan Reddy’s “corrupt administration” should also take action against him.

Earlier, BJP national president J.P. Nadda had also criticised the YSR Congress government, stating that it was the most corrupt government he had ever witnessed.

In his speech, Naidu warned individuals involved in illegal granite mining in Kuppam, stating that once the TDP regains power, he will ensure that they are held accountable and made to repay their looted gains. Observing that the YSRCP leaders are using the Rs 2,000 notes at liquor shops, the TDP chief remarked that rowdies are ruling the roost in Kuppam which was once a very peaceful area. Naidu asserted that those responsible for such misconduct and those involved in filing false cases would be taken to task.

Regarding the TDP's plans, Naidu stated that their mini-manifesto aimed to deliver justice to all sections of society, including women, youth, and farmers.

Referring to the welfare schemes listed in the TDP’s manifesto, he said that the State would flourish only when assets were created.

“I will commence creation of assets from Kuppam,” he said. Mr. Naidu said if the TDP comes to power, women would be provided free travel in APSRTC buses.

He said that the creation of assets would increase revenue, which would be equitably distributed through welfare schemes to benefit the poor. Naidu announced that these welfare schemes would be launched in Kuppam.

Naidu criticised CM Jagan Reddy for denying him permission to construct a house. He questioned whether the state was now under the sole rule of Jagan and expressed his disappointment that the Chief Minister had turned the state into a den for rowdies.

As part of his three-day visit to Kuppam, the TDP chief would be holding a series of meetings with party cadres of the four mandals of Shantipuram, Ramakuppam, Kuppam, Gudupalle, and Kuppam municipality. The police has made elaborate security arrangements for Naidu’s visit.
