The 2018 Duster is likely to be showcased at a special event ahead of its official public debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The second-generation 2018 Duster will reportedly be unveiled at a special event in Paris on June 22 ahead of its previously expected global debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. However, it is still believed that its public debut will happen at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

A test mule of the second-generation Duster was spied for the first time earlier this month. A lot of you might be aware that the Duster was originally conceptualised by Renault's economical Romanian arm, Dacia, and was introduced in Europe in 2010.

At the time of launch, it was one of the most affordable SUVs in Europe and went on to become a successful nameplate for Dacia. For Renault, the Duster's value-for-money packaging and off-roading ability have a proven track record from Brasília to Bombay!

Now, it is over seven years old and is due for a complete overhaul. The second-gen Dacia Duster is likely to go on sale later this year in Europe and is expected to enter the Indian market through Renault in 2018.

Rumour has it that Renault/Dacia will also introduce an extended version of the Duster. This should make the SUV even more popular in our country. However, it remains to be seen which variant will make its way to India.
