Renault is all set to launch the Triber in India on August 28 and the pre-launch bookings are underway for a sum of Rs 11,000. The French carmaker is offering only one engine on the Triber: a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol unit that produces 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque. It will come coupled with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox.

The Triber will be the first car in its segment to feature modular seating, which means you can get extra boot space by removing the third row completely and folding down the second row. Both rows get individual AC vents.

The Triber is also specced with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. What’s more, there is also a refrigerator to keep your beverages cool on the go.

The Triber is expected to cost between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh and will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and Hyundai Grand i10 in that price range.
