Delhi: Senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, who was sacked after massive brawl inside the Yadav family; has been reinstated in the party on Thursday morning.

In an exclusive conversation with ABP News, Yadav said, "Netaji has taken the decision with a good heart and I welcome it". He added saying, "It is the duty of elders to forgive the mistakes of the one's younger to them".

Talking about the forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, he said, "we all will fight the upcoming elections together".

Ram Gopal Yadav’s return to the party was hinted at on Wednesday in Rajya Sabha during the debate on demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs1000 notes was on, where he could be seen siding with the stand of Samajwadi Party and slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the “difficulties the people had to face as an aftermath of demonetisation.

According to agency sources, Yadav will continue to perform his duty as Samajwadi Party's General Secretary, spokesperson and will be a part of SP’s Central Parliamentary board.

The reinstation comes days after debilitating battle of attrition between Akhilesh and Shivpal leading to tit-for-tat sacking of ministers and leaders on rival sides. Even Shivpal was sacked as minister by Akhilesh, after Mulayam, apparently siding with his brother and Amar Singh, expelled his own counsin and SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav from the party for six years. Ram Gopal, a Rajya Sabha member, has been backing Akhilesh in the battle for Mulayam's legacy.
