New Delhi: PUBG announced a comeback weeks after the mobile game was banned in India by the government. PUBG cut ties with Tencent Games in India, as the Indian government had accused breach of security and data. PUBG Mobile will be making a comeback after Krafton Inc tied up with Microsoft Azure for the Indian version of the popular game. The game was banned by the Indian Government as the game was accused of a breach of security and data. The official website of the PUBG Mobile Indian version showcased two download links for the game — one being an APK download link, and the one redirected the user to the Google Playstore. However, the links failed to give access to the game. Krafton Inc and Microsoft Azure have failed to release any official information about the PUBG Mobile release in India. The Indian version will have two languages unlike the official global version of the game. According to a report in InsideSports, PUBG India Mobile requires a green light from MEITY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology). The ministry had banned PUBG along with others are yet to react on the PUBG’s new registered entity. This permission is very important as we all know it was that put the ban on the game so they are the ones to revoke it. Currently, for any person or business to operate legitimately in India, they require a PAN or a GST Number. PUBG Mobile India does not have either and without that, they cannot start operating or dream of a comeback. According to media reports, PUBG Mobile India will be released with these three new features: • In the Indian version, the characters will not wear any provocative attire with new characters automatically starting to get clothed. • For the Indian version of the game, the hit effect will be locked to green, unlike the global or the Korean version. The green hit effects will reflect the virtual nature of the game. • PUBG Mobile India will reportedly have a feature to limit playtime thereby fostering healthy gaming habits amongst the youth.
