Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present at the residence of MoS L Murugan in Delhi, where he celebrated Pongal. Garbed in traditional Tamil attire, comprising a white lungi and a black coat, PM Modi participated in the ceremonies, after which, he addressed his audience. He spoke about the way Pongal depicts the emotion of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' and said, "...The festival of Pongal depicts the emotion of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'... This emotion of unity will give strength to the 'Viksit Bharat' of 2047..."


In addition, the Prime Minister also talked about Kashi Tamil Sangamam and Shaurastra Tamil Sangamam where the emotion of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' can clearly be seen and people participate with great enthusiasm. 






PM Modi also wished the country on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Bihu saying, "The country celebrated the festival of Lohri yesterday. Some people are celebrating Makar Sankranti today and some people will celebrate tomorrow, Magh Bihu is also coming, I extend my greetings to the countrymen for these festivals."









Later, PM Modi witnessed the cultural program that was held at the residence of MoS Murugan.






In addition to him, Puducherry Lt Governor and Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan were also present at the residence of MoS Murugan. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, too, was seen seated among the audience.
