You have to work on the three self's; self- awareness, self-confidence and selflessness. You should recognise your potential and move forward, move ahead with full confidence, move ahead with selflessness."
PM Modi while speaking to the students he referred to the global Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), which he announced at the UN Climate Action Summit in 2019. He said India presented to the world its concept of International Solar Alliance for safe, affordable and environment friendly energy.
He said that climate change and the natural disasters which are its results pose a huge problem for the world and said now the focus should be on building disaster resilient infrastructure that can withstand natural disasters.
He further said, “The situation of 21st century India has also changed, needs and aspirations have also changed. Now IITs need to be taken to the next level by being Institutes of Indigenous Technologies, not just Indian Institutes of Technology.”
