Gautam Buddha Nagar News: Often during a traffic jam, the noise of vehicle horns or of a bike with a modified silencer, can be very irritating. However, in the Gautam Budh Nagar district, strict action will now be taken against those who do so, and challans will also be imposed. Although the traffic police can impose fines even now, decibel meters will now be used to catch hold of people who avoid paying challans.

People spreading noise pollution will be fined with decibel meters by the Police

Giving information about the decibel meter, DCP Traffic, Ganesh Saha told ABP News that now the traffic police will impose challan on those who cause noise pollution in the district with a decibel meter. That is, if someone honks loudly, or if someone's vehicle adds to noise pollution, the person will not be able to escape the traffic police. Traffic police will find out whether there was noise pollution or not.

A report by Hindustan Times stated that the decibel metres will be used to check noise levels during the parties that will take place during the Christmas and the New Year’s eve. The DCP said that action will be taken against those who would be found playing loud music during New Year’s eve.

Traffic policemen have been trained.

Traffic policemen have also been trained in this regard. The traffic inspector and traffic sub-inspector will have the decibel meter, which will enable immediate action as soon as noise pollution is reported. The DCP Traffic said that a challan of Rs. 10,000 will be imposed for noise pollution.
