As per the recent development in the massive operation linked with the Nagrota encounter, an underground tunnel has been detected near International Border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir, which is suspected to have been used by four Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists to enter into the country from Pakistan. Jammu & Kashmir GDP Dilbag Singh on Sunday in a statement said, "Tunnel detected near International Border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir."

Jammu BSF IG N S Jamwal further confirmed the development and said that the terrorists involved in Nagrotra encounter possibly used this 30-40 metre long tunnel as it's a fresh one. We believe they had a guide who took them till highway.

Earlier this week on Thursday, four terrorists belonging to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group were killed in the gunfight in Jammu's Nagrota area. The terrorists were planning a major terror attack on the anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

They were travelling in a truck on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, which was intercepted by the police at a toll plaza near Nagrota.

The security forces used UBGL (under barrel grenade launcher)to decimate the hidden terrorists, who were also firing from their end. The truck was targeted and explosion could be seen in the CCTV footage that has appeared. All the terrorists were killed by the end of 2 hour-long encounter.

The slain terrorists were carrying a huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including 11 AK-47 rifles and pistols and in all probability were planning something big.

The police has recovered a digital mobile radio from the slain terrorists, which have shown some text messages from Pakistani handlers. Besides the digital mobile radio, the police has also recovered Pakistani handsets, and Pakistani Sim Cards.
