Jaipur: Rajasthan Congress Leader Sachin Pilot on Friday hit back at the claims made by Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Rita Bahuguna Joshi that the disgruntled leader will “soon join the saffron party”. Rubbishing the BJP leader's comment that he was next after his former colleague Jitin Prasada crossed over to the BJP, Pilot said "She may have spoken to Sachin Tendulkar and not me." 


"Rita Bahuguna Joshi said she has spoken to Sachin. She might have spoken to Sachin Tendulkar. She doesn't have the courage to speak to me," the Congress leader said.

Pilot's remarks came in response to the claims made by Joshi who on Thursday evening told a national news channel that "Sachin will also join the BJP soon. The party (Congress) has been mistreating him." 


Earlier this week, Jitin Prasada, part of Congress' G23 Dissenters crossed over to Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls which are due in February next year. After sonce his shift, speculations have been doing the rounds that former Rajasthan deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot too will join the saffron party. 


Since last year, Pilot has been under the spotlight after he openly revolted against his party colleague and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He was even stripped from the post of deputy chief minister and also from the post of state Congress chief following his open rebellion against Gehlot.
