Mamata and her party has expressed their displeasure over the summon issued to the three senior IPS officers on Saturday to serve in central deputation.
Banerjee, opposing the centre's move to transfer the IPS officers, wrote a three page article saying "We firstly want to inform you that Law and Order subject is within the domain of the state under the 7th schedule of the state list of the Constitution of India. How in respect of Law and Order situation you can call both the two officers for any sorts or discussion? Can you under the Constitution of India and any other law, intervene in respect of Law and Order of the state?"
Meanwhile, TMC leader Saugata Roy reportedly said, "IAS/IPS officers are governed by Article 312 of Constitution, after being selected for a post they are assigned a state cadre. Centre may ask for names of officers to be sent on deputation then it up to the state to release them or not."
Earlier today, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued summon to three IPS officers of West Bengal to serve in central deputation, days after attack on Bharatiya Janata Party chief JP Nadda's convoy in the state.

Superintendent of police of Diamond Harbour, Bholanath Pandey, additional director general of police of South Bengal, Rajeev Mishra, and deputy inspector general of police, Presidency Range, Praveen Tripathi, were responsible for BJP chief J P Nadda's security in the state.
News agency ANI quoted the government sources saying that the three IPS officers from West Bengal have been called on central deputation for alleged lapse in security of BJP president JP Nadda.
