Delhi: Karnataka cabinet expansion has been making headlines since the time BS Yeddiyurappa, the former CM has resigned and the BJP high command made Basavaraj Bommai the CM. Bommai, who has taken oath as the 23rd Chief Minister of the state, said that he had briefed about the political situation to BJP National President JP Nadda to take a final call on the cabinet expansion.


On Wednesday morning, Bommai announced, "We have already discussed everything related to the ministers, in the past two days in Delhi. We'll get the official council of ministers list who will take the oath at Raj Bhavan. The ceremony will take place at 2.15 pm at Raj Bhavan."






It is said that former Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karajol, Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan, former ministers Sriramulu, Aravind Limbavali, K.S. Eshwarappa, V. Somanna, Murugesh Nirani, R. Ashok, Anand Singh, Dr. K. Sudhakar, J.C. Madhuswamy, S.T. Somashekar, MTB Nagaraj, K. Gopalaiah, Bhyrathi Basavaraju, B.C. Patil, Narayana Gowda, C.P. Yogeshwar, Bhyrathi Basavaraju, Shivaram Hebbar, senior leaders V. Sunilkumar, K. Poornima, S. Angara, Abhay Patil, Raju Gowda, P. Rajeev, Dattatreya Patil Revur, M.P. Kumaraswamy are likely to make it to the cabinet.


Recently appointed Karnataka CM Bommai, who was on a two-day trip to Delhi, told ANI, "Cabinet expansion will take place tomorrow. If I get the clearance from the Central party leadership tomorrow morning, the oath-taking ceremony will be held in the evening."

There are also talks about BY Vijayendra — son of former CM BS Yeddiyurappa — making to the state cabinet. When asked about Vijayendra's role in the new cabinet, Bommai said that party high-command will take a final call about it.


There is another kickback, whether the deputy to CM should have to continue in the post. On this, Bommai told ANI that there is a difference of opinion so the central high command would discuss this issue with former CM Yeddiyurappa.

This is Basavaraj Bommai's second visit to Delhi after taking oath as the Chief Minister on July 28. Earlier, he had met most of the Union Ministers when everyone had congratulated about being selected by the high command for the CM role.
