The Om-shaped Lord Shiva temple is soon going to be ready in the Jadan Village of Rajasthan's Pali, after nearly three decades since the laying of the foundation stone. This would be the first such temple in the world.
The Om-shaped or the 'Om Aakar' temple is being constructed across a sprawling 250 acres of land in Jadan and over 400 people have been working on the same.
The foundation stone of the grand temple was laid in the year 1995. The construction of the temple is expected to be completed by 2023-24.
Swami Maheshwaranand Maharaj, who has devotees from across the globe, said this temple in the shape of Om is the first of its kind in the world.
Over 1000 Idols Of Lord Mahadev To Be Installed
This temple will have 1,008 idols of Lord Mahadev and 12 Jyotirlingas. Standing tall at 135 feet, the temple will be built on 2,000 pillars with 108 rooms on the premises. The tomb of Guru Madhavanand ji will be made at the centre.
In its upper part, a temple has been made with a shivling made of a rhinestone brought from the Bansi hill of Dholpur. A tank of 2 lakh tonnes has also been built under this temple complex.
The founder of the Om Ashram is Vishwa Guru Maha Mandleshwar Paramahansa Swami Maheswara Nanda Puriji Maharaj. In Hinduism, the Om mantra is considered Mahamantra and is chanted every morning after waking up.
How To Reach The Temple
Jadan village is located on National Highway 62 and is 71 km from the Jodhpur airport. Trains running from Delhi to Ahmedabad can also be availed to visit the temple because of the distance from the Marwar Junction.
The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will also be ready in 2024. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has invited people to reserve their tickets for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by January 1, 2024, while speaking at a public event in poll-bound Tripura.
