The Supreme Court in a recent order refused to entertain a petition by an American citizen seeking asylum in India. A US citizen Claude David Convisser approached the top court requesting asylum in India as he feared prosecution and even threat to his life in the US for discovering "alternative to petroleum." Convisser, a US citizen, moved a petition in the Indian Supreme Court under Article 32 of the Constitution of India for asylum. A vacation bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep
