New Delhi: A 21-year-old WhatsApp admin is reportedly languishing inside jail for five months now, for a controversial message that he did not even send.
The resident of Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh is allegedly paying the price for being the admin of the group in which the controversial message was forwarded.
The admin named Junaid Khan was arrested in February under the IT Act on the charges of sedition. However, as per reports, his family has claimed that he became the admin of the group by default after the actual sender of the objectionable content left the group.
As per reports the police have asked his family to produce evidence to prove his innocence.
They reportedly said that at the time of arrest, the family did not tell that he had become the default admin of the group.
