"There have been some specific incidents that CM referred to, in her statement today about booths. We'll consider taking next step because we want to do this not for just winning Nandigram or West Bengal but we need to do it for keeping democracy in place," he said.

Despite sporadic violence and accusations of vote fraud in Nandigram, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said she was confident of victory from the constituency. Banerjee said she is worried about the fate of democracy given the use of money and muscle power.
"We have lodged 63 complaints since morning. But no action has been taken. We will move the court over it. This is unacceptable," the chief minister said sitting in a wheelchair outside booth 7 in Boyal in Nandigram. "The EC is working on the instructions of Amit Shah," Bengal CM alleged.
"Issues flagged Mamata Banerjee a while ago on phone have been imparted to the concerned. There is full assurance of the concerned to adherence to rule of law. Am confident all will act in right spirit and earnestness so that democracy flourishes," the West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhanka said from his official Twitter handle.
Dhankar's tweet came soon after West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Thursday dialled him from Nandigram alleging that there is complete breakdown of law and order.
Over 73 per cent of the 73,44,631 voters exercised their franchise till 5 p.m. in the second phase of polling in Assam on Thursday, election officials said, adding that no untoward incident was reported from the 39 constituencies, where balloting officially ended at 6 pm.
Senior election officials and police officers said that no incident of violence was reported so far from the 13 districts where the voting was underway.
"People of Bengal have decided -- Didi must go. People of Nandigram have fulfilled this dream today. People can't wait any longer to save their future & identity. They are not just participating in polling, they are paving the way for renaissance in Bengal," PM Modi in Uluberia.
"She (Mamata Banerjee) is insulting voters. It has become her habit to insult people of Nandigram. She received injuries in an accident but levelled allegations. Governor's is a constitutional post, she can speak to him, no problem. EC conducts polls, not Governor or President," Suvendu Adhikari.
"I am showing you 'V' for victory sign. I am sorry Election Commission & Amit Shah, please control your goons who are heckling woman journalists in rallies. I can't reveal what I discussed with Observer and Governor, it's confidential. I haven't seen such a bad election," says Mamata Banerjee. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the Golkulnagar booth today amid polling. While the Chief Minister was inside the school, BJP and TMC workers created ruckus and began stone pelting each other claiming that they were being stopped from exercising their right to vote. When the media approached Mamata Banarjee to understand the situation, she said that outsiders are creating violence. BJP Leader Suevndu Adhikari took a jibe on Mamata Banerjee and said that 'Begum is worried since the time she heard Jai Shree Ram chants'.
48.26 per cent of 73.45 lakh voters exercise their franchise till 1 pm in 39 assembly seats where polling is underway in second phase. Bengal records 58.15 % voter turnout till 1pm where voting is underway in 30 assembly seats.

EC asks Assam Min Himanta B Sarma for explanation by 2nd April over his statement at a rally regarding which Congress had complained to EC that he "openly threatened Hagrama Mohilary, Bodoland People's Front Chairperson & INC ally of sending him to jail by misusing Central Agency"
BJP candidate Pritish Ranjan Konar was attacked at Keshpur. His car was attacked at Keshpur in West Midnapore district. Police have arrested 3 people related to the case. In another incident, ABP Ananda's car was vandalised in Nandigram.
TMC's Derek O Brien writes to EC alleging booth capture by BJP workers in Nandigram Assembly Constituency "Huge mob of BJP workers have entered booth no.s 6,7,49,27,162,21,26,13,262,256,163,20.
BJP workers attempting to take control of EVM & rigging the booth," wrote Derek O Brien in his complaint.
After Suvendu Adhikari left the polling booth, TMC workers resorted to violence and Hooliganism. Police took over the situation and stopped them from creating a ruckus. The TMC workers raised slogans such as 'Suvendu Go Back' and 'Jai Bangla'.
Bengal recorded 37.42 poll percentage from 7 am to 11am.
The second phase of polling in West Bengal's eight-phase elections, including in the high-stakes Nandigram seat, recorded a high voter turnout of 37.4 per cent till 11 am.
Though the situation was tense in a few areas with a few skirmishes reported, tight security cover in all 30 constituencies which went to polls averted any major incidents.
"We have 37.42 per cent voter turnout till 11 am in all seats where polling is underway for the second phase. The polling so far has been peaceful," an Election Commission official said.

TMC candidate of Bankura, Sayantika Bandyopadhyay today allegedly distributed money to the needy people who were sitting outside a temple where she went to offer prayers in the morning. BJP candidate Niladri Sekhar Dana lodged a complaint against Sayantika.

Election Commission seeks report in connection with BJP worker's mysterious death in bhekutia in Nandigram. A 50-yr-old BJP worker's hanging body was recovered. His daughter has alleged that the BJP worker was being constantly threatened by TMC for the last few days so he has committed suicide.
After casting his vote, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari claimed that Queen will lose Bengal as people are choosing development over dictatorship. He also said that after elections BJP will build a corruption-free Bengal and it will be free of violence and hooliganism.
