New Delhi: Days after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued notice to Narayan Rane for inspection of his Juhu bungalow, Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday lambasted the Union Minister for “giving threats”.

“Narayan Rane is threatening that he has our horoscope. Stop giving threats. We too have your horoscope. You might be Union Minister but this is Maharashtra,” said Raut, ANI reported.

“Don't forget this. We are your 'baap', you very well know what that means,” he added in Mumbai.

Rane had earlier alleged that Raut’s attention is on Uddhav Thackeray’s chair.

Raut also took a fresh dig at Kirit Somaiya and alleged that work on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader’s Rs 260 crore worth project is underway in Palghar.

“Work on his Rs 260 crore worth project is underway in Palghar. It's in his son's name, his wife is the director,” Raut said in Mumbai.

The Shiv Sena leader called for a through probe to find out how did Somaiya get the money.

“You (Kirit Somaiya) give documents of scam to the central agencies, I will give yours. Don't threaten, we won't be scared,” he said.

Raut’s remarks came a day after Somaiya demanded a police investigation into the ownership of 19 bungalows which he claimed were built in Korlai village of Maharashtra’s Raigad district and were owned by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s wife Rashmi.

Raut further said the Shiv Sena will “end the criminal syndicate prevalent in Maharashtra”.

“We will do one exposé every day and give information on it. We won't shy away from exposing the system of extortion that has begun in Mumbai,” he added.
