New Delhi: A video of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers thrashing a movie theater manager over high prices of food items in the multiplex has gone viral.

As per the reports, the MNS workers slapped the manager of PVR multiplex asking him why do they sell 'popcorn worth Rs 5 for Rs.250 and Vada Pav worth Rs 10 for Rs.100'.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening when some MNS workers visited PVR multiplex along with local leader Kishor Shinde. When they glanced upon the menu card they called the manager and entered an argument with him over the “overrated” food items in the multiplex.

Soon the argument turned into hurling of expletives and abuses at the manager and the workers soon started thrashing him. MNS has also has threatened of a protest if the prices of these food-items are not slashed soon.

The Mumbai High Court has also recently questioned the high rates of food-items being sold in the multiplex.

“Popcorn worth Rs 5 is being sold at Rs 250, Bombay HC has already said reduction in price needed. We told manager to read news reports, he said don't know how to read Marathi. Then we dealt with him MNS style. ” said the Kishor Shinde.
