NEW DELHI: The who's who of politics, including BJP chief Amit Shah, Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Prakash Javadekar, Venkaiah Naidu, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray attended the marriage ceremony of Nitin Gadkari's daughter on Sunday.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, who belongs to Nagpur, has two sons- Nikhil and Sarang. Gadkari's daughter Ketki, youngest of his three children, tied the knot with Aditya Kaskhedikar, who works with Facebook in the US.

Amid the ongoing cash crunch, a message on social media has gone viral claiming that more than 10,000 guests and 50 chartered planes were used to ferry VVIPS to Nagpur for Gadkari's daughter's wedding.

However, Gadkari's office has rejected the claim saying, “News that 50 chartered flights will ferry VIP’s for Nitin Gadkari’s daughter’s wedding are mischievous and incorrect.”

According to civil aviation sources, only 11 planes arrived in Nagpur for marriage ceremony.

Among those who used flights to attend the wedding were - Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Baba Ramdev, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackarey, Maha BJP president Rao Sahab Danve, Subhash Chandra, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Ramaji Rao, Kishore Biyani and Hinduja Bros.

In our Viral Sach segment, the message that claimed fifty chartered flights were arranged for Gadkari's daughter's marriage ceremony has proven to be an orchestrated hoax.
