New Delhi: Cow slaughter and consumption of cow flesh has become the most sensitive matter in current time. Every second day a story of a person being beaten to death by cow vigilantes gets surfaced.

The latest being the death of a person on Thursday who succumbed to injuries in the hospital in the evening after being thrashed by cow vigilantes in Jharkhand.

In the midst of these incidents, a picture has gone vital in social media days after Eid, showing various Union Ministers eating at Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi’s Iftar party, held at his residence.

As per the claims made by the person who initially shared the post, the kebabs being served by Naqvi at his residence are made of cow flesh.

Since the claims made by the person who shared the post were serious and weer made against none other but four union ministers namely Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Naqvi, It was necessary to get into the details and find the truth.

Surprisingly, the picture surfaced on social media on the same day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the crowd during his 2-day Gujarat visit made a statement on killing in the name of cow protection and warned the cow vigilantes to stop these killings.

PM while addressing the crowd had said, “"Killing people in the name of 'gau bhakti' (cow worship) is not acceptable. This is not something Mahatma Gandhi would approve".

On probing the matter, ABP News reached out to Union Minister Naqvi and showed him the pictures that were surfacing on the social media.

On questioning him about the claims made by social media post, Naqvi said “the people who spread the message should have come and eaten the kebabs to know what they were made of”.

He further added that the kebabs were actually vegetarian and were prepared from Jackfruit (kathal).

Therefore, the claims made in the viral message were false.
