The cop’s revolver got jammed in the middle of an encounter in Sambhal and so he shouted “Thain Thain” to scare the criminals.
He can be heard shouting “Maaro Maaro, ghero ghero, Thain Thain.”
Citing Assistant Superintendent of Police, news agency ANI reported that the words like “maaro” and “ghero” are said to create mental pressure on criminals.
He also informed that cartridges being stuck in revolver are a technical fault.
The agency also shared the video of the incident, which is dated 12th October.
It was later reported that in the same encounter a criminal was arrested after being shot at in the leg. One policeman was also injured in the exchange of fire.
