New Delhi: As the politics surrounding the disputed Ram Mandir has intensified, right ahead of 2019 a Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party MP Sakshi Maharaj, who is known for making contentious statements and extremist ideology; has done it again.

While addressing a public rally in Unnao, Sakshi said "Rajneeti mein jab aaya to pehla mera statement tha Mathura mein, Ayodhya Mathura Kashi ko chhodo Dilli ki Jama Masjid todo, agar seedhion mein murtiyaan na nikle to mujhe faansi pe latka dena." (When I first entered politics, my first statement was in Mathura, that leave Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi and break down Jama masjid in Delhi; and if you don’t find statues underneath the stairs, the hang me to death.)

This shocking statement has come amid heated political scenario in the country, where pressure is being built on the government from various parties and groups to bring ordinance over building of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

It is important to know that the Ram Temple matter is subjudice and the apex court is set to hear the case in January 2019.
