New Delhi: A backward counting of liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s extradition case has begun, as UK court is likely to announce verdict on Rs 9,000 crore fraud case against him.

A final discussion on his extradition is also going to take place in the court on July 31.

Vijay Mallya fled the nation with country’s 9 thousand crore rupees.

Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation authorities have been asked to be present in London court during the final hearing. The hearing on Mallya’s extradition has been going on since last year.

Mallya had raised questions in the court over CBI witnesses. The hearing will be taking place on both CBI and ED’s petition. London court had earlier ordered seizure of Mallya property.
