During this time, surface winds blowing at a speed of 20-30 km per hour will cause a chill, and dense fog is likely to prevail in several districts of eastern UP.

The effects of the western disturbance will be felt in several districts of western UP from Wednesday, January 21. During this time, there may be rain with strong winds. A warning of lightning along with thunder has been issued in some places.
Such weather is expected to continue in the state until Thursday. After that, the cold will start to decrease again. The minimum temperature may increase by 2 degrees Celsius in the next two days. However, there seems to be no relief from the fog.
A yellow alert for fog has been issued in Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar and Deoria in UP today. There may be rain with strong winds in Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Baghpat, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Amroha, Hapur, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, Agra and Firozabad, and a warning of lightning has been issued in many places.
