Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release BJP's manifesto for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh election today. The 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra', as the BJP calls it, would be released on Friday at 10:15 am in Lucknow.


As per ANI sources, nationalism, development, good governance, electricity, women's security, employment, and the development of Kashi-Mathura could be some of the prominent issues in the manifesto. 


Amit Shah would be accompanied by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP election in-charge for UP Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, both Deputy Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad and Dinesh Sharma, and BJP state President Swatantra Dev Singh.


"Nationalism, development, good governance, electricity, women's security, employment, development of Kashi-Mathura can be mentioned in the manifesto," ANI sources said.






BJP had asked for suggestions from the common people for their manifesto and as per reports, some of the suggestions might be included in the 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra'.


After Akhilesh Yadav, in his party's manifesto promised to give 300 units of free electricity, it is being said that BJP's manifesto might also include an announcement regarding the outstanding electricity bill.


Home Minster Amit Shah will head to Baghpat for campaigning after announcing the manifesto of his party. He will be campaigning for three seats in this Jat-dominated pocket of Western Uttar Pradesh.


The schedule for the 2022 UP Assembly Election is mentioned below with dates listed for the polls and counting of votes, according to ECI. The election will be conducted in seven phases.



  • 1st Phase: Feb 10

  • 2nd Phase: Feb 14

  • 3rd Phase: Feb 20

  • 4th Phase: Feb 23

  • 5th Phase: Feb 27

  • 6th Phase: March 3

  • 7th Phase: March 7


The results will be announced on March 10, 2022.
