Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's residence ahead of the bypolls in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi arrived in New Delhi on a surprise visit, where he is also met BJP President JP Nadda this evening.


The Sunday meeting between UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and PM Narendra Modi at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg was the first meet after the June 4 results of the Lok Sabha elections.


According to ABP LIVE sources, the meeting, which lasted for over an hour, was said to be a courtesy visit by the UP chief minister after the Diwali. However, it is being considered crucial ahead of the bypolls in nine seats of the state.   






CM Yogi Adityanath also met Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda in Delhi. The UP chief minister's office shared images of the meeting between the two BJP leaders. 






A video in the news agency ANI showed the UP CM leaving from the UP Sadan in Delhi. According to ABP Bureau, the chief minister is on a surprise visit to the national capital and is likely to meet PM Modi at 5 pm. 


The UP CM arrived at the Hindon airport in Ghaziabad and departed for New Delhi earlier today. The meeting of Yogi and PM Modi comes ahead of the November 13 bypolls on nine seats in Uttar Pradesh.


Of the nine assembly seats on which the bypolls are being held, 5 are occupied by the BJP-led NDA and 4 by the Samajwadi Party (SP). The bypolls will be held in Katehari (Ambedkarnagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Milkipur (Ayodhya), Meerapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhawan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur Nagar), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj), and Kundarki (Moradabad).
