On the construction of the proposed 151 feet tall statue of Lord Rama at the bank of Saryu River, the Chief Minister said, “I have picked up two locations for the construction of Ram statue. The statues meant for worshiping is placed inside temples, but since this statue will be meant for sight-seeing it will be constructed outside a temple so that Ayodhya can be recognised for this iconic statue”.
Upon setting up of world record with over three lakh ‘diyas’ at Saryu river, he said “Ayodhya has been a holy place in our religion. We tried to highlight its significance in “Deepotsav” event.”
He exhibited confidence that Ayodhya will progress with leaps and bounds to make its place in top cities of the world.
Yogi Adiyanath accompanied South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-Sook to Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya on Tuesday, where she was treated to a dazzling display of over three lakh earthen lamps on the ghats of the Sarayu river, besides a spectacular sound-and-light show.
