Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday participated in a Holi celebration at the Bhadwasiya vegetable market in Jodhpur where he was seen playing danidya at the event with other participants. Referring to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections that are scheduled to commence on April 19, Shekhawat stated that "the biggest festival of democracy is also before all of us when we are about to decide the destiny of the country."

During the event, the BJP leader also stated that this Holi is special as the country will be celebrating the festival for the first time after the Pran Pratishta ceremony in Ayodhya. "The festival of Holi is a symbol of social harmony where everyone colours themselves in the same colour of joy, forgetting all their differences," he added.

The Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Tuesday addressed a cluster meeting for the Barmer-Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Jalore-Sirohi constituencies, where he stressed on BJP's determination to achieve the 400-seat mark target, laid down by PM Modi for this year's Lok Sabha Polls.

He also claimed that the saffron party would secure victory in all 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan.

Shekhawat stated that just like the party won the Jodhpur seat in the previous assembly elections, it will win most of the seats from the Marwar region. "All BJP workers have set out to win the party with a resounding majority," he added.

On March 9, Shekhawat launched the nationwide ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain-2024’ campaign. The theme of this year's campaign was 'Nari Shakti se Jal Shakti,' aimed at recognising and appreciating the crucial role women play in water conservation, management, and sustainability.
