Two train ticket collectors have been suspended after a video emerged on social media that showed them assaulting a passenger in Bihar's Muzaffarpur for allegedly not having a train ticket. The incident took place on the Mumbai-Jainagar train.


"Both suspended, we are taking the matter seriously. Departmental disciplinary action has been initiated, said DRM Alok Aggarwal, according to news agency ANI.






In the video shared on the micro-blogging site Twitter by @Yazhini_11 one can see two ticket collectors arguing with a passenger over his ticket. After a few moments one of the ticket inspector tries to pull the passenger from the top seat by holding onto his leg. The passenger retaliated by kicking the official.

This infuriated the other collector who joins the brawl and help his colleague to pull the passenger down on the floor. they then begin to thrash him mercilessly. Other passengers in the compartment intervene and stop the ticket collectors from thrashing the  victim.






The incident reportedly took place on Mumbai-Jainagar train, near Dholi railway station, on the night of January 2.
