New Delhi: Mohali Police has arrested two gangsters belonging to Lawrence Bishnoi and Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar with weapons. The accused have been identified as Gagandeep Singh alias Gagi and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi. Both the accused are residents of Kingra village of Dabwali in Sirsa. Two 32-bore pistols, eight cartridges and a Scorpio car bearing Haryana no. HR 25 4845 have been recovered from the accused. Both the accused were going to transport weapons for some crime.
The police have arrested both from near Dara Studio Phase-VI. Police are investigating what was his role in the singer Sidhu Musewala murder case.
Meanwhile, Delhi Court on Tuesday has allowed Punjab Police to formally arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in the case.
SSP Vivek Sheel Soni said that the arrested gangsters Gagandeep alias Gagi and Gurpreet alias Gopi were in constant contact with Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar through gangster Manpreet Singh alias Manna. Manna had provided a Toyota Corolla car to the attackers in the Moosewala murder case. Manpreet Singh alias Manna was arrested. Both the accused were acting on the instructions of Goldie Brar. They were involved in illegal arms smuggling from the border areas of Punjab and Rajasthan. He used to provide weapons to them only on the orders of Goldie Brar.
Earlier, Delhi Police's Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) HS Dhaliwal said on Wednesday that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was the mastermind in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in the Delhi Police's custody. Addressing a press conference, Dhaliwal said that police have arrested Siddhesh Hiraman Kamle, alias Mahakal, an aide of the main shooter involved in Moose Wala's murder.
Moose Wala, who had unsuccessfully contested the Punjab assembly polls on a Congress ticket, was shot dead last month at Jawaharke village in Punjab's Mansa district. Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility for the murder of the Punjabi singer.
