New Delhi: A new scam has come to the fore after many devotees who wished to visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine have been duped by fake websites.


Scamsters have created fake websites of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board which promises various services including a helicopter ride and are duping people of thousands of rupees at a time. 


Taking notice of the increasing complaints, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has written to Google to block such fake online services and websites. FIR has also been registered with Cyber Crime.


According to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine board CEO Ramesh Kumar said: "Board received many complaints from the pilgrims that they were provided fake helicopter tickets through fake websites and the shrine board has already registered an FIR with cyber Crime department of J&K Police and Police is already on job."






Ramesh Kumar also said that the Shrine Board has contacted Google and many fake websites have already been blocked many such websites. He said that people should be aware of fake websites and should only get online services through the original website of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is www.maavaishnodevi.org or through Shri Mata Vaishno Devi App.
