In the latest update, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has tested positive for coronavirus.  The chief minister has gone into isolation. Shivraj Singh Chouhan shared the news on Twitter and said that requested everyone who has been in contact with him to get tested. He advised his contacts to go into isolation.


In a series of tweets, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed that he is following all the guidelines advised by the doctors and is in self-quarantine right now. The CM appealed the citizens to take extra precautions and abide by the norms issued by the government to prevent themselves from getting infected.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said that the Madhya Pradesh's daily health bulletin which the CM shared since March 25th will now be taken forward by the state Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Bhuppendra Singh, Minister of Urban and Development Housing, Vishvas Sarang, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vishwas Sarang and the state Health Minister Dr Prabhuram Choudhary.
India witnessed a single-day spike of 48,916 positive cases and 757 deaths, according to the previous day's figures released by the Health Ministry on Saturday. India's cases have jumped from 12 lakh to 13 lakh within just two days, while Maharashtra's infections have crossed the 3.5 lakh mark.
