New Delhi: A day after Congress General Secretary made her first big move on Wednesday by allying with Mahan Dal-a regional party in Uttar Pradesh; the party is likely to ally with former Samajwadi Party leader and the founder of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Shivpal Yadav.
This comes on the wake of Priyanka Gandhi’s attempts of joining hands with smaller parties in the state in order to strengthen the UPA further.
As per sources, one of Priyanka’s aide met Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party founder Shivpal Yadav; and are likely to hold another round of meeting on the last day Priyanka Gandhi’s Lucknow tour on Thursday. After everything is finalised, Shivpal is also likely to meet Shivpal herself.
This comes after picture of Shivpal along with Congress MLC Deepak Singh is going viral on social media. The picture which was taken in Lucknow, is from a personal event where both leaders can be seen talking. The picture is further strengthening the rumours about suspected alliance between Shivpal and Congress.
Both parties are yet to make a formal announcement on the prospected alliance.
