Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Rains continued to affect the lives of lakhs of people in several districts of Madhya Pradesh.

As per reports, as many as 33 districts have recorded above normal rains so far.

Tapti, Narmada, Shipra, Kalisindh, Palakmati, Machna and other rivers and streams are still in spate.

Road connectivity in rural areas continued to be hit at several places.

A bridge was swept away in Belgaon village in Chhindwara district yesterday.

However, flood situation in Vidisha and Raisen has improved.

The excessive rains have affected at least 3 lakh 46 thousand people in 21 districts of the state.

Surveys to assess losses due to excessive rains have been started.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed officials that reports about losses should be sent to the Centre at the earliest.
