New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs 1000 crores in Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday, news agency ANI reported. 


He also addressed the people of the north-eastern state. During his address, he said, “Congress leaders ask what happened in 8 years, these people are awake with their eyes closed. Rahul baba must take out his Italian specs and must have a look at the development work done by PM Modi & CM Pema Khandu,” ANI reported. 


He also said that the BJP government will connect the Parshuram Kund through railways for better connectivity. 


“We'll connect Parshuram Kund through railways. We have laid a network of roads across the state along with connecting far-flung places in the state,” he was quoted as saying by ANI. 






He further talked about the tourism industry and the law and order situation in Arunachal, saying that PM Modi made possible what could not be done in the last 50 years. 


“To increase the tourism of Arunachal within 8 years, to strengthen the law and order here, to increase the infrastructure, for the development of Arunachal, the government of Pema Khandu and Shri Narendra Modi ji has done that in 8 years Which hasn't happened in 50 years,” he said. 


Shah also talked about the development projects in Arunachal saying, “In today's single day, development works in Arunachal at a cost of 786 crores are either being completed or are starting. In benefit distribution, 33,466 families and 800 self-help groups and NGOs have benefited from schemes worth Rs 244 crore.”


Amit Shah is on a two-day trip to Arunachal Pradesh that started on Saturday. On his trip, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects in the state.
