Students from Jammu and Kashmir and Bihar clashed on Sunday after the final match of the T-20 World Cup at a Punjab college in Moga district, ABP News reported.

Initial reports indicate that during the T-20 World Cup final match, two groups of students — one from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and the other from Bihar — clashed over a religious remark.

The incident took place in the hostel premises of Lala Lajpat Rai College situated in Moga, Punjab.

Further details into the matter are awaited.

The J&K Students Association also took cognizance of the matter and posted, "We have spoken with SSP Moga Punjab @gulneets Ji and asked him to act in this matter and take notice of the horrific event involving Kashmiri students that occurred in Moga. He has promised that those responsible will face consequences and that five students who were detained would soon be released."

The England cricket team, headed by Jos Buttler, defeated Pakistan by five wickets in a low-scoring T20 World Cup 2022 final at the legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday to win their second T20 World Cup title. England has once again demonstrated why they are the best side in the world in limited-overs cricket, becoming the only team to win both the T20I and ODI World Cup finals.
