New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal believed that Navjot Singh Sidhu should join the Aam Aadmi Party and expected that “the party should get 96 (117) seats in the upcoming Punjab elections. Kejriwal said his wife Sunita will actively take part in campaigning for AAP in the poll-bound state. Speaking to ABP News, the AAP chief said that his party is in consultations with the former BJP leader who had earlier hit out at Kejriwal during his political front launch saying the Delhi CM had asked him to campaign for party and in lieu of which his wife would be made a minister. Meanwhile, Congress, which is seeking to wrest power after a decade of political wilderness, is trying to strengthen its position and also sees Sidhu as an effective campaigner who could add more punch in reaching out to people at a time when AAP is keeping it on tenterhooks.
