New Delhi: State Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu has made a new move ahead of the Punjab Legislative Assembly elections. Navjot Singh Sidhu has appointed MP Amar Singh, Mohammad Mustafa and Dr Pyare Lal Garg as his advisors. It is believed that these three advisorscan play vital role in the political decisions of the state. However, it is not yet clear what kind of work these three will be engaged in.
In Punjab, the newly appointed Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu and the state Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh are constantly having political indifferences.
Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and expressed his "displeasure" over Navjot Singh Sidhu's repeatedly targeting the state government. The meeting between the two lasted for about an hour.
Talking to media about the ongoing meeting between the two leaders, Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat said that there was a discussion on upcoming assembly elections in the state. Regarding Sidhu and the Chief Minister, he said that there is no difference between the two.
Harish Rawat said, "There is no rift between the two. The Chief Minister was informing the Speaker about the PPA, crackdown on drug mafia and steps taken by the state government on other issues in the state.''
