New Delhi: With Punjab Assembly polls inching close, Election strategist Prashant Kishor met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at his residence in the national capital on Tuesday.
According to sources, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and AICC general secretary KC Venugopal were also present during the meeting.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had last week met Kishor at the Kapurthala House in Delhi. The meeting took place amid a feud between the Punjab Chief Minister and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Kishor had earlier last month met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar thrice. The election strategist’s meetings with Pawar had fuelled speculation that the opposition parties would come together to form a third front against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2024.
Kishor had earlier played an instrumental role in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) return to power in West Bengal. He was instrumental in the thumping victory of the TMC, which won 213 seats in the West Bengal Assembly polls. The BJP, which was riding high on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s growing popularity, managed to bag just 77 seats in West Bengal.

The election victory in West Bengal has come as a shot in the arm for the opposition, giving it the confidence to take on the BJP in the next general elections.
Kishor had also played an important role in the victory of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) alliance in Tamil Nadu.
