NEW DELHI: Days after mega roadshow in Lucknow, party's general secretary in-charge of crucial eastern Uttar Pradesh having 40 seats in the Lok Sabha attended Congress committee meeting in Lucknow on early Wednesday morning. After attending the Congress committee meeting in Lucknow, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was asked if ED probing Robert Vadra affects her, she said, “these things will keep going, I'm doing my own work.”


On the Congress committee meeting, she said that she is learning a lot about the organization. Its structure and the changes that need to be made. “I'm getting their (Congress workers) views on how to fight the election, according to them” she further added.

On Tuesday, the party distributed the responsibility of 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh among newly appointed party general secretaries Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Rahul Gandhi has placed 41 parliamentary seats under the charge of Priyanka Gandhi and 39 parliamentary segments under Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Among the constituencies placed under Priyanka Gandhi's charge were the key seats of Lucknow, Amethi, Raebareli, Sultanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Phulpur, Allahabad, Barabanki, and Kushinagar.

Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Pilibhit, Dhaurahra, Kanpur, and Farrukhabad, were some of the key constituencies placed under Scindia's charge.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi last month made his sister party's general secretary in-charge of crucial eastern Uttar Pradesh having 40 seats in the Lok Sabha.

Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi and Scindia, along with Rahul Gandhi, had held a grand roadshow here on Monday, raising hopes of a turnaround in the party's fortunes. Virtually launching the party's Lok Sabha poll campaign, Rahul Gandhi had asserted that it was the time to uproot the BJP and form government in the state.
