Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Sunday that President Droupadi Murmu will be visiting Karnataka from September 26 to 28 to take part in a number of events, news agency PTI reported.


The announcement stated that this will be her first trip as President of India to any state.

On Monday in Mysuru, she will open the Dasara celebration at Chamundi Hills.


The president will attend the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation's "Poura Sanmana" celebration that day in Hubli, according to the announcement.

Additionally, she will unveil the Dharwad campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology.


On Tuesday, the president will launch Hindustan Aeronautics Limited's Integrated Cryogenic Engines Manufacturing Facility in Bengaluru.

She would virtually lay the cornerstone for the South Zone's Zonal Institute of Virology during that time as well, according to the announcement.


The president would attend a civic event organised by the government of Karnataka in Bengaluru in her honour that day, as well as the opening ceremony of St. Joseph's University, it was noted.

The president will go back to New Delhi on September 28.
