Benefits Of PM Surya Ghar Scheme

According to news agency PTI, the scheme would incorporate various measures to ease financial burdens on citizens. These include direct subsidies deposited into bank accounts and substantially concessional bank loans. Additionally, all stakeholders will be seamlessly integrated into a National Online Portal to streamline operations and enhance accessibility.

PM Modi also said that to propagate the scheme at the grassroots level, urban local bodies and panchayats will receive incentives to promote rooftop solar systems within their jurisdictions. PM Modi underscored the multifaceted benefits of the initiative, emphasizing its potential to augment income, reduce power bills, and generate employment opportunities. "At the same time, the scheme will lead to more income, lesser power bills, and employment generation for people," the Prime Minister added.

PM Modi urged residential consumers, particularly the youth, to actively participate in and bolster the 'PM Surya Ghar' scheme by registering on the designated portal at https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
