Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Centre-State Science Conclave via video conferencing. At the conclave, PM Modi said, "India is going ahead with mantra of 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan and Jai Anusandhan."
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said: "We should celebrate the achievements of our scientists. When we celebrate scientists and their innovations, science will become a part of our culture. Our government is moving forward with the vision of science-based development."
Speaking about collective effort, PM Modi stated: "Centre-State Science Conclave is an example of our mantra of Sabka Prayas. Today, as India moves towards leading the fourth industrial revolution, the role of India's science and people associated with this field is very important."
Highlighting startup ventures in Gujarat, CM Bhupendra Patel said: "The Gujarat govt is creating an environment of science and technology for the youth in the state. Employment generation and innovation are also being promoted in our double-engine govt. Gujarat ranks first in startup rankings for the last 3 years."
The first-of-its-kind Conclave will strengthen Centre-State coordination and collaboration mechanisms in the spirit of cooperative federalism to build a robust science, technology, and innovation ecosystem throughout the nation. This is in keeping with the Prime Minister's unwavering efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the nation.
The two-day Conclave is being held at Science City in Ahmedabad on September 10 & 11, 2022.
Sessions on a range of topics will be covered, such as STI Vision 2047, Future Growth Pathways and Vision for STI in States, Digital Health Care for All, Doubling Private Sector Investment in R&D by 2030, Agriculture - Technological Interventions for Improving Farmers' Income, Water - Innovation for Producing Potable Drinking Water, Energy - Clean Energy for All including S&T Role in Hydrogen Mission, Deep Ocean Mission and its Relevance for Coastal State, and Health - Digital Health Care
Gujarat Chief Minister, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology (S&T), S&T Ministers and Secretaries of States and Union Territories, business executives, entrepreneurs, NGOs, young scientists, and students attended the historic conclave.
