Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday where he was warmly received by Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and other dignitaries.


Later, PM Modi along with Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan held a roadshow in Visakhapatnam.

After the roadshow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for the NTPC Green Energy Limited Green Hydrogen Hub Project at Pudimadaka near Visakhapatnam. This landmark project is the first of its kind under the National Green Hydrogen Mission with an investment of approximately Rs 1,85,000 crore, as per a government release. The hub will feature 20 GW of renewable energy capacity and is set to become one of India’s largest integrated green hydrogen production facilities, capable of producing 1500 TPD (tons per day) of Green Hydrogen and 7500 TPD of derivatives such as Green Methanol, Green Urea, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel. 


The Prime Minister is also scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation for various railway and road projects worth over Rs 19,500 crore. In the healthcare sector, PM Modi is set to lay the foundation for the Bulk Drug Park at Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district.


Additionally, the foundation stone will be laid for the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City) in Tirupati district under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor. Envisioned as a greenfield industrial smart city, KRIS City is projected to attract Rs 10,500 crore in manufacturing investments and generate around 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs, bolstering livelihoods and regional development.
